  • All-purpose flour- 3 tbsp
  • Drinking chocolate powder or sweetened cocoa powder-2 tbsp
  • Sugar- 2 1/2 to 3 tbsp
  • Baking powder- 1/4 tsp
  • Milk- 2tbsp
  • Egg- 1
  • Oil-2 tbsp
  • Vanilla extract-1/2 tsp

1. Combine and mix flour, sugar and baking powder in a mixing bowl.
2. Stir in milk, egg, oil and vanilla extract until all is one.
3. Grease your mug before pouring in the mixture and microwave on high for 90-95 seconds, but NO MORE.

For extra flavor, serve with a scoop of ice cream at the end or mix in 1tsp of instant coffee in step one to make it a chocolate espresso mug cake.

2. Vanilla Pudding

Did we just say what you think we said? Yes! You can make pudding in your microwave oven. Here’s what you need:

  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla

1. Stir the sugar, cornstarch, salt, and milk together in a microwavable bowl.
2. Microwave the combination on high for 8-9 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes.
3. Beat 3 egg yolks slightly in another microwavable bowl.
4. Pour out some of the extra liquids of the milk/sugar mix and SLOWLY stir it into the egg yolks, otherwise, it’ll cook the eggs.
5. Microwave on high for 1-2 minutes until thick and glossy.
6. Stir in butter and vanilla.

3. Healthy Baked Potato Chips

1. Slice potato thinly until you have enough pieces for a satisfying snack.
2. Arrange potato slices onto a microwavable plate.

4. Flip them over and microwave again for another minute.
5. Flip them over again and microwave for a third minute but this time, keep a CLOSE EYE. As soon as the chips turn brown, you’ll have a second or two to stop before they start to burn.
6. Sprinkle with some salt and seasoning for flavor.
